"Art of Housing and Living" Inner peace, outer peace.
Peace is waking into the sound of silence and the chirps of birds instead of vehicle noises that disturbs your ears. It is breathing in the scents of flowers instead of the smoke from exhaust pipes.
It is giving your attention to counting the tones of blue in the sky when you are tired of counting the tones of green looking at your garden where variegated Japanese roses grow.
It is the possibility of seeing the sun that shines like a chrysanthemum thrown into the sky and the cloudy paintings of a blue and white lower painted from your ever shining window instead of seeing lines of concrete. Peace is the freedom to go to work and come back home without feeling suffocated and to find yourself in the center of the city in a minute. It is living in safe places that provide you all the comfort to live as a human being and where you can see the value given to you in the slightest of details. To be able to live in a world which presents the urban life culture in a harmony of man-nature-locality, and turns outer peace into inner peace. To be wherever you want to be, to do whatever you want to do, to perceive life away from worries and close to yourself. Peace is to say “I’m in Ikebana!”

Nature
Variegated Japanese roses in its garden.
A large Japanese garden where there are big water gardens, colorful flowers and trees in an area of fourteen thousand square meters. Housing blocks covering this area with their white and wood colors... And living rooms, kitchens and balconies opening to the beauty of the nature. Ikebana has been designed to bring the rhythm and peace of life into your life. The nature-man-locality balance has been established with an approach that is in line with the characteristics of the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
All residences in eight blocks that are all five storey are facing the Japanese garden located in the middle. Ground floors reach the garden with a wooden platform so as to preserve the fluidity, coolness and calmness of the water. The roads that connect common areas consist of cut slates, which are an abstract form of the rocks in the nature, and they move downwards in harmony with the stream of water. When slates connect with rocks that are in natural size, a unique and peaceful nature is finds shape.
The water garden located in front of the social facility forms an independent micro cosmos with its natural rocks, gravel surface and water plants. |
| The garden’s top cover elements that use the light both for lighting and for shading gives you the feeling that you are living completely in an abstract world.Tree arrangements in the Japanese garden are the leading actors of the shadow and light choreography together with the rest of the natural elements... Water and mist, tree and grass, colored and colorless plants, road and man represent the binary cycles of life here. Colored, fragrant, thorny and evergreen plants carry the rhythm of the nature to Ikebana. And Ikebana creates a different world that transforms the outer peace that it offers into inner peace. |
